Today is a new day. His mercies are new every, single day. Oh God, thank you for this!

And guess what, tomorrow is a new day too. Yes, you can dance now. Laugh. Smile. Rejoice. Yippee!

Whether the days are hard or easy, and whether they fly past or drag on, each and every day is a gift filled with opportunities for our heart to see beyond all-the-things to what’s eternal. Our Hope.

We don’t have control over all-the-things in our lives, but we do have the gift of freedom to choose many things.

Every day we can choose to believe the things that build our faith & draw us closer to the Father.

Choose to Believe #livewell #31DaystoBelieve

Today, no matter what you’re walking through, let’s choose to draw near to the One who loves us fully & unconditionally.

There are times when we just don’t think we can believe the things of God are true. Maybe we want to say & believe these things, but our hearts don’t feel it.

Our soul feels troubled. At unrest. We are not experiencing the peace of God.

I get it. One of my frequent doubts, of which I have many, is that God is too busy tending to other people who are in greater need. As a result,  I falsely rationalize, I am left alone.

Oh, how I turn to untrue thoughts and limited thinking about who God is, what He will do, and how He will work. How about you?

Every time we choose to focus our thoughts on these untruths, it leads to death in our spirit. David describes the downcast soul. I wonder if he too experienced the vicious cycle of lie rumination? Yet, he spoke of Hope.

Why are you cast down, my soul, and why are you in turmoil within me?
Hope in God; for I shall again praise him, my salvation and my God. ~ Psalm 42:5

Let’s remind ourselves of Hope.

When the enemy whispers those lies, let’s choose to reject them & remind ourselves what we believe, or what we want to believe even if it’s hard to feel it in this moment.

Choose to believe that God is good, no matter what. He is always good.

Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever. ~ Psalm 136:1

Choose to  believe in the power of praise. Even, and especially, in the midst of the most violent storms of life. He is still worthy.

Worthy are you, O Lord God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they existed and were created. ~ Revelation 4:11

Choose to believe that He is near. Even when He seems distant or altogether aloof and far away. He promises to never leave us.

…for he has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” ~ Hebrews 13:5b

Choose to believe that no matter how big I think God is, He is more.

Who is like the LORD our God, who is seated on high, who looks far down on the heavens and the earth?

Choose to believe that God created all individuals. Every. Single. One. All life matters to Him. He is a life-giver.

For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you for I am fearfully & wonderfully made. Psalm 139:13,14a

Choose to believe that the Holy Spirit convicts hearts. Ours & others. Open your heart to conviction. Release the hearts of others.

And when he {the Helper v.7, the Holy Spirit} comes, he will convict the world concerning sin and righteousness and judgment: ~ John 16:8

Choose to believe that His plans, His ways & His timing are always best. He is trustworthy.

Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord! ~ Psalm 27:14

Choose to believe in giving thanks.

Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. 1 Thessalonians 5:18

Choose to believe in His power over human strength.

Once God has spoken; twice have I heard this: that power belongs to God, ~ Psalm 62:11

Choose to believe there is Hope beyond the things which are seen. Hope is found in Christ.

But I will hope continually and will praise you yet more and more. ~ Psalm 71:13

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great merc, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, kept in heaven for you, ~ I Peter 1:3-4
